The SafeZone Community Art Center serves the needs of children living and attending school in the Washington Heights neighborhood by providing quality music education.
The Board of Directors of the SafeZone Community Art Center is comprised of representatives from the area elementary school, members of Divine Word Lutheran Church, members of the Washington Heights community, local businesses and the Wisconsin music community.
SafeZone students participate in:
Small group lessons once a week after school at Hi-Mount and Neeskara schools and Divine Word Lutheran Church
Private tutoring lessons once a week after school
Full band rehearsals Thursdays after school at Divine Word Lutheran Church
Exciting performance opportunities
Opportunities to attend concerts by professional musicians and organizations for free
